"Harar was a place that seemed full of interest, and I lost no time in setting off to explore its quaint back alleys and busy, colourful market. One of the first things to strike me in this part of Ethiopia, was the colourful clothing worn by the women. It made for a most welcome sight after the comparative drabness of the women in other parts of the country.
I managed to paint this picture relatively unbothered, due to being able to sit on a deep ledge where nobody could get in front of me." - MH
