Now known as 'the Harris' this magnificent building was built between 1882 and 1893 after a massive gift of £300,000 had been left to Preston Corporation. James Hibbert, a local architect, built the now Grade 1 listed 'The Harris Museum, Art Gallery & Preston Free Public Library' in a Neo-classical style.
