The Iglesia de Paula is one of the most attractive churches in Havana. It is all that remains of the San Francisco de Paula women's hospital from the mid-1700s. It was restored in 2001 and is now often used as a concert hall and to display Cuban art .

"A crumbling old colonial church in the harbour area of the old town. Old American cars like the one in the painting were a common sight in this part of Havana." - MH
