Located on the southern most tip of the island Portland Bill continues to warn sea farers away from its hazardous waters. It is highly distinctive with it’s red and white stripes and stands tall and proud at 135' (41m). There are 143 steps to the top and stunning views of the Jurassic coast on the way up.

The lighthouse was completed in 1905, cost £13,000, and the lamp was first lit on 11 January 1906.
