"Whilst at San Pedro I visited a museum just along the street from the police station, set up by the University of the North. I usually find museums a bit boring, but this one, which had been solely devoted to the history and archaeology of the area, had some interesting exhibits that had been well put together and displayed, even if the inscriptions were only in Spanish. There were many mummies and artefacts on display, all in a good state of preservation because they had been buried in arid, salty soil." - MH
