"...painted from the shade of one of the smaller temples. This temple was the largest of the temples at Bagan, standing 61 metres high and built during the mid 12th century.

What made so many of these temples attractive to me was their idyllic rural setting, often surrounded by people working in the fields.

Interesting as Bagan was, after two full days it was back to the road for a long bus ride upto Kalaw" - MH
