Wycoller - from the Anglo Saxon Wic-Alr (meaning dairy farm among the alder trees). This picturesque village lies just a few miles east of Colne in Pendle and is said to date back to the 10th century. The area is associated with the with the Brontè sisters who came from nearby Haworth.
